About Pink Paw Program
The Pink Paw Program was established in 2012 to provide education, guidance and support to dog owners, adopters and foster carers.
Our program is designed to help people successfully navigate the challenges of pet ownership, particularly when welcoming a rescue dog into their home. We provide free training support to clients referred to us by aligned veterinarians, rescue organisations and pet industry partners, helping families build stronger relationships with their dogs and reduce the likelihood of surrender.
We understand that behavioural challenges can be overwhelming. Many of the behaviours owners find difficult are often natural canine instincts that require understanding, patience and appropriate guidance. Through education and practical support, we help owners better understand their dogs, address behavioural concerns and create positive outcomes for both people and pets.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of pets enter shelters and rescue organisations across Australia, many due to preventable behavioural issues. Our mission is to reduce unnecessary surrenders through education, support and early intervention, giving more dogs the opportunity to remain in loving homes and helping create a brighter future for dogs around the world.
