Our Vision
Helping dogs thrive through compassion, education, and connection.
Education is the key.
The Pink Paw Program travels nationally and internationally, with a main focus on Australia and Hawaiʻi, delivering community education programs, school presentations, rescue support and public workshops. Through these initiatives we work alongside rescue organisations, community groups, schools and families to educate dog owners, support rescue organisations and inspire the next generation through children's learning programs focused on dog safety, kindness and responsible pet ownership.
Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to improve the lives of both dogs and people. Every day we see how behavioural challenges can be overcome when owners have access to the right knowledge and support at the right time, preventing unnecessary surrenders and strengthening the bond between families and their dogs.
A major focus of the Pink Paw Program is educating children. We believe teaching young people how to understand dogs from an early age creates safer communities for both children and animals. Through school visits, educational resources and age-appropriate learning materials, we help children recognise canine body language, understand safe interactions and develop kindness, empathy and respect for animals.
While we cannot prevent every behavioural challenge, we believe education has the power to change lives. By combining personalised support, accessible learning resources, community outreach and children's education, the Pink Paw Program continues to work towards one goal: reducing unnecessary surrenders, strengthening the bond between people and their dogs, and giving every dog the best opportunity to live a happy, safe life in a loving forever home.
About the Pink Paw Program
The Pink Paw Program was founded in 2012 with one clear mission: to help keep more dogs in their forever homes through education, guidance and compassionate support.
What began as a local initiative supporting rescue dog adopters has grown into an international education and support program, helping thousands of dogs and their families every year.
Our dedicated support line is at the heart of the program, providing free, personalised advice to dog owners experiencing behavioural challenges. Whether families are welcoming a new puppy, adopting a rescue dog or struggling with behaviours that may lead to surrender, we are here to provide practical guidance and ongoing encouragement before a crisis occurs.
Alongside individual support, we have created an extensive library of educational resources, including online courses, eBooks, training guides, videos and webinars, allowing dog owners around the world to access trusted information whenever they need it.
Our Mission
We envision a world where every dog has the chance to remain in a loving forever home and no dog is left behind.
Through education, personalised support and community outreach, our mission is to prevent unnecessary dog surrenders while empowering children with the knowledge to safely understand and respect dogs.
